What you perceive is true for you.

Hello and welcome, all you beautiful souls. I am happy and thrilled that you’re here. In today’s video, I wanted to talk to you about how the world, the external world, is based on your internal world.
You can shape your reality
I remember when this was first brought to my attention or came into my awareness, this was something that I truly did not understand and couldn’t get a grasp of because it was so foreign to me that I have the ability to shape my world or my experiences.
However, over the years of having studied this, I now see it every day and I wanted to give that to you today, that you – A Course in Miracles tells us, “What you perceive is true for you.” That sentence is so mind-baffling. Part of you will probably recognize the truth in it.
You hold the power
Once you understand or learn to understand or learn to see that what I perceive is true for me, then you also understand that if there is something that’s going on out there that you do not want or like, or want to see differently, you can.
That gives us the truest of truest freedom because when you no longer depend on anything external or out there to make you happy – whatever it may be. It may be your finances or your health or your relationships or whatever.
When you no longer depend on anybody out there or anybody else to create your happiness, then you truly have the power to change your whole life and I would rather say your whole life experience.
So your question will probably be, “How do I do that?” The way that you do that is by choosing. If you’re here, you’ve probably already made the decision or you have an idea that you want to live a life where that is a reality. So the way you do that is by becoming aware of what’s going on.
I usually recommend that you can set an alarm on your phone to go off a certain amount of times during the day. Whenever the alarm goes off, you just question, “Where am I based right now? What are my thoughts? What’s going on?” This can take less than a minute for you to become aware of, “Okay, I am frustrated thinking about this” or “I am happy thinking about this.”
You become aware and not to do it – you don’t judge it. You don’t start thinking thoughts about how you are right now. You basically just become the observer of what’s going on. Once that you’ve done that enough times, you’ll start to catch yourself.
When things don’t go the way you like them to, you’ll start to catch yourself and asking yourself, “Okay, how was a playing a part in this and what can I do to do it differently? How can I then create a different reality?”
